The Free and Hanseatic City of Bremen
The city of beers. The federal state Bremen is with its about 750.000 inhabitants the smallest federal state of the Federal Republic of Germany. The town Bremen is with about 590.000 inhabitants the smallest city in Germany. Above all Bremen is a `green`town on the River. The Überseestadt is giving the Hanseatic city a new character. It`s absolute essentially to visit the `Schlachte` - the Weser promenade - on the river in Bremen. Many sailing and river boats sail past the Weser promenade. When the weather is fine there can be a thousand visitors at the `Schlachte`. The Hanseatic City of Bremen offers also many interesting hotels.
There`s for example the only hotel ship in Bremen: The `Hotelschiff Perle` Bremen, There is also the city`s oldest hotel building: The `Turmhotel Weserblick` Bremen. It was built in the year 1880.
